7 Things

1. meeting random people on the bus 2. those little 'hole in the wall' places where you can chill at 7 a.m., not order anything, and the owner gives you free cookies and too much caffeine without reserve :) 3. just being downtown. seriously. 4. Seattle Center. so many field trips there and it's the best feeling to just lose yourself by the fountain or lie down in the grass or check out the skaters across from the EMP (and, occasionally, amuse yourself by watching the 'RIDE THE DUCK' people get all hyped lol) 5. the old music store in the Underground with shelves and shelves of records jammed into slots and CDs that you just can't find any

He stood amongst the wreckage Fire and smoke and death thick in the air Yet he did not flinch- Did not look away. He walked into the fumes Let them swallow him whole All that he once knew Now, was no more. He stopped short Looked up into the hazy grayness No longer could he see the sky- The sun had gone, and so had life. He knew it was only the beginning Never would they stop Until all were gone- No generation would be spared. He had known, so he had known Yet he had not spoken out For fear they would come And still they had not. He did not cry, did not listen to them being taken away From their homeland, their country
